Amsterdam’s most famous night bar. This bar used to open at normal closing time (i.e. 4am), but due to problems with the neighbors nowadays de Bloem opens at 7am. Crowded with an interesting but slightly unsteady clientele.
Open 7am-11am, closed on Sunday.
De Koophandel
Bloemgracht 49 (623 98 43).
Another famous night bar, housed in a long and narrow basement which used to be a warehouse. Gets crowded after midnight with serious drinkers and arty types, and has a very flexible closing policy.
Open 11pm-dawn.
